It had already been confirmed back in August that Dare Devil Dive which opened in 1997 at Six Flags Great America would not be reopening and instead will be replaced in 2024 by the new, Sky Striker. The previous rumor regarding the removal of Mardi Gras Hangover became more of a reality recently at Six Flags Great America as a Halloween prop was added to the park showing two coffins with RIP on them. One is understandably for Dare Devil Dive and the other had two dates 2004 – and 2018 – . Due to the dates it was predicted that Mardi Gras Hangover which opened in 2018 would be removed along side the HUSS pendulum ride, Revolution which opened in 2004. With the new Zamperla, Sky Striker opening at Six Flags Great America in 2024 it makes perfect sense for Six Flags to remove the ageing Revolution attraction.
