It is important for guests visiting Universal Orlando Resort to know which rides and attractions are closed for refurbishment or for another reason to avoid disappointment. It can be difficult to keep up to date with the changing schedules so we are collating the current list of refurbishments planned for Universal Orlando Resort during May and beyond. This month we see Pteranodon Flyers continuing its downtime following its unexpected closure last month, a popular flat ride continues its month long closure and E.T Adventure gets a short refurbishment. We also hear about two more attractions which will close temporarily during 2024. Work continues to be done on the former KidZone area in Universal Studios Florida which officially open as the new Dreamworks Land on June 14.We are including dates where possible for refurbishments and closures but these are subject to change. Status: ConfirmedDates: 6 May – 15 MayIt has been confirmed that the E.T Adventure will be closed for a short time from May 6 – 15 which we assume is for refurbishment.Originally, opened in 1990, suspended from above and strapped onto a bicycle with E.T at the helm, this attraction created specifically for Universal Studios Florida sees guests racing from the police, flying above the city streets, and finally landing on E.T.’s never-before-seen home planet. 2. Pteranodon Flyers (Universal Islands of Adventure)

Status: ConfirmedDates: Present – TBCPteranodon Flyers at Universal Islands of Adventure has been unavailable since mid-April when it experienced an issue which forced it to close unexpectantly.It appears that Universal are now waiting for a part for this attraction and so far there doesn’t seem to be an estimated time frame for when we will likely see Pteranodon Flyers reopening. We will keep you posted on this.3. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish (Universal’s Islands of Adventure)

Status: ConfirmedDates: 27 April – 24 MayOne Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish closed on April 27 for its annual refurbishment and is currently set to reopen on May 25.Located in Seuss Landing, this popular flat ride takes the success of Dumbo The Flying Elephant, adds in squirting fish and then introduces a song explaining how to avoid these squirts.4. Revenge of the Mummy (Universal Studios Florida)

The Revenge of Mummy at Universal Studios Florida will close for a short refurbishment 17 – 22 June.”The world’s first psychological thrill ride” will leave you screaming for more as you hurtle backwards and forward through a cursed tomb on this launched roller coaster full of special effects. And just when you think it’s over… In the words of the Mummy: “Your end shall be my beginning.”5. Fast and Furious – Supercharged (Universal Studios Florida)

This is thought to be in order for the queue line area to be used for a house at Halloween Horror Nights 33.6. MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack (Universal Studios Florida)
