Crocs. You either love them or—if you have any fashion sense—you don’t. But like a mischievous Randall lurking in the shadows, they just keep sneaking into Disney’s latest merch drops. This time, Monsters, Inc. has been given the Crocs treatment, and these new clogs have stomped their way into Beverly Sunset Boutique at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Now, I’m all for a bit of Pixar magic, but do we really need another excuse for people to walk around the parks in what is essentially a rubber cheese grater for your feet? Let’s break down what’s on offer:
Mike Wazowski Crocs – For Those Who Want to Be Stared At
If you’ve ever wanted a giant green eyeball watching your every step, congratulations, your weirdly specific wish has come true. These lime-green Crocs are plastered with Mike Wazowski’s massive peeper, ensuring your feet are both comfy (debatable) and mildly unsettling. Great for Monsters, Inc. fans, questionable for anyone with an actual sense of style.
Sulley Crocs – When You Want Your Feet to Look Like a Muppet’s Backside
Looking for something fluffier? The Sulley version has blue and purple spots, plus little horns, because nothing screams “sensible footwear” like faux monster fur on your shoes in the Florida heat. At least they’re good for staying on brand if you’re planning a full Monsters, Inc. cosplay.
Where to Get Them (If You Must)
If for some reason you feel compelled to buy these, you can grab a pair at Beverly Sunset Boutique in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Just don’t expect me to pretend they’re a good idea.
Outside of the parks, you can purchase them from Crocs themselves.
Final Thoughts – A Monster of a Fashion Choice?
Look, if Crocs are your thing, then fair play to you. I respect your right to wear them, even if I completely disagree with it. But if you ask me, Mike and Sulley deserve better than being turned into questionable footwear. Stick to a nice themed t-shirt, a pair of ears, or literally anything else.
That said, if these somehow sell out, I’ll be even more convinced that I just don’t understand Disney fashion anymore.
Ryan
Ryan has been attending theme parks since as long as he can remember and his first proper memory comes from when he was just three years old sitting in Main Street USA drinking a Nesquik milkshake from a carton while the piano was being played outside Casey’s Corner.
