An early look at what could be coming to Bedford, England’s new Universal Great Britain theme park would be the United Kingdom’s Tallest and Fastest Roller Coaster—reaching 88mph at almost 100 meters in the air.
The rendering created by AmusementInsider (embedded below) is considered a concept, but based on previous posts by the outlet, it may not be far off from reality. The description states that the animation was created using a combination of official theme park concept art, Google Maps data, and publicly available site plans. At its peak, the large tower is estimated to reach a height of approximately 95 meters (310 feet). Height projection is based on the assumption that the ride will hit speeds around 88 mph — the iconic speed for time travel in the Back to the Future universe. At that velocity, the DeLorean-themed ride vehicle would ascend to about 285 feet up the tower.

While the overhead layout closely mirrors what’s expected in reality, variations in banking, elevation, and shaping of individual elements are likely as the design evolves. Nonetheless, the model offers a scaled vision of the attraction. The manufacturer producing the ride is thought to be Intamin of Liechtenstein.
Universal Studios’ new Great Britain theme park is set to open in 2031. Universal Destinations & Experiences, a unit of Comcast NBC Universal, will operate the company’s first-ever theme park and resort in the United Kingdom, located in Bedford, England.
