Walt Disney World has announced a Halloween overlay and menu at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, the Indiana Jones themed lounge in Disney Springs. Here are dates & details about the special spook season offerings, backstory about the WDW dining spot, and how it stacks up to the ‘competition’ thematically.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar becomes Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar each Christmas, with holiday decorations and limited-time menu items. They’ve done this holiday overlay for the last 8 years, and it’s always been really well-received. It probably helps that November and December are two of the busiest years at Disney Springs, and I’d hazard a guess that per guest spending spikes fairly significantly during the holiday season.
In any case, it just makes sense that Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar would become Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Bar. Looking at this announcement now, I’m wondering “what took so long?!” as if this were obvious all along. Halloween is a longer season, August and September are two slower months, and this is a way to boost bookings and per guest spending at a time when it otherwise is not as high. Again, it just makes sense.
Walt Disney World has revealed that Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will have a Halloween makeover starting August 19, 2025. The fan-favorite bar will serve up a limited-time menu of spooky food and drinks, along with themed décor throughout the location.
Although an end date has not been announced for Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Bar, it’s safe to expect its run to end on or shortly after October 31, 2025. Maybe they’ll let it continue through November 2, 2025 to get through the spook season weekend. That still allows plenty of time for the installation of Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar overlay, which typically begins in mid-November.
We’re getting ahead of ourselves, but it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if removal of Halloween and installation of Christmas decorations happens simultaneously. Saves on labor costs and there’s no reason Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar can’t start a couple weeks earlier than normal.
Disney also shared a first look at select food items at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Bar, which will include the following:

This is almost certainly a partial sneak peek; we’d expect to see a much more robust full menu featuring drinks, dishes and desserts.
Other Disney Springs venues will likely offer special Halloween menu items, as they have in previous years. Currently, guests can enjoy Flavors of Florida at Disney Springs, which runs through August 10, 2025.
The summer and early fall are normally the off-season at Disney Springs, as locals are less likely to turn out when the weather is hot. Accordingly, special events like Flavors of Florida and Halloween are used to entice people to visit. It seems to be working fairly well, too. We’re not Disney Springs regulars like we used to be, but I’ve been somewhat surprised by crowds at Disney Springs (relative to the parks) during recent visits.

As for the modified spook season ‘backstory’ at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Bar, it’s likely to be similar to the ‘Holiday’ version:
Jock Lindsey has caught the holiday spirit in a big way and has decided to throw a party for all of his adventurer friends new and old. When you walk in, you’ll notice the decorations are next-level and feature an array of gifts, lights, and little holiday nods to his love for aviation. Here ugly sweaters are not only welcome but encouraged along with holiday jokes and puns you’ll never “fir-get.”
That’s a twist on the normal backstory, which is that Indy’s easygoing pilot Jock Lindsey—owner of a pet snake named Reggie–stumbled on Disney Springs in 1938 while chasing down a mythology-based tip in central Florida. Attracted to the town’s natural springs and lush terrain, Jock bought some waterfront property and eventually settled down, piloting seaplane tours across the fast-growing Sunshine State.
Jock eventually built an airplane hangar, air tower and runway, and invited fellow members of The Society of Explorers and Adventurers to pay him a visit. His home base soon became a popular stopover and watering hole for world travelers and locals alike.

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar has drawn a lot of praise for these Indiana Jones references, its atmosphere, and deep thematic detail. In more than a few ways, it’s like Trader Sam’s: Disney Springs Outpost.
This is mostly praise. Both have similar self-aware and referential style, and are jam-packed with artifacts. On the whole, these references are pretty cool and there is a lot to discover here, most of which will be lost on 95% of the general public. It’s not just Indiana Jones gags and hidden details, either.
It’s always nice to see Imagineering go to such great lengths for the minority of guests that appreciate these details–details that define Disney’s best work–so no complaints there. The theme is a bit on the gritty side, but there’s a ton of detail to pore over and the team tasked with bringing Jock Lindsey’s to life clearly had fun with the assignment.

The only light bit of criticism we have for Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar (and its Holiday overlay) is that it borders on being jam-packed with junk. A lot of the stuff is great, but we can’t help but wonder if Jock is a bit of a hoarder, as the interior definitely takes a more is more approach. It mostly works, and sure beats the alternative of being bare. At the same time, the styles of Trader Sam’s, Skipper Canteen, Jock Lindsey’s, and even Jingle Cruise (the Christmas overlay to Jungle Cruise) are all very similar.
In fairness, all of the aforementioned offerings are fan-favorites, so it’s tough to get too worked up that the same formula has been followed here. There’s enough daylight between each of these concepts that they all stand on their own and never feel played out. The other upside here is that there aren’t repetitive effects that wear out their welcome after 45 minutes or so at the bar.
Again, it sure beats being too sparse or yet another location with the hipster repurposed warehouse vibe–there’s a reason both Trader Sam’s and Jock Lindsey’s rank towards the top of our list of the 25 Best Bars & Lounges at Walt Disney World! We’re really looking forward to seeing Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Bar and will share more once we’ve had a chance to experience it.
