Universal Express Pass is a line-skipping offering for the Universal Orlando parks. Guests are granted access to a priority entry line to the attraction that promises to reduce one’s wait time by at least half of the posted wait time. A single-use per attraction and an unlimited-use per attraction version is offered that is valid for the whole day. When Express Pass doesn’t sell out for the day, Universal has offered a discounted Express Pass during the last few hours the park is open at in-park booths. This was a quiet, but popular, money-saving tip.

Now Universal is promoting this offering directly through the Universal Orlando app as an online purchase. The test appears to be located at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure at a roughly 50% discount. On the day this deal was offered the park was open till 10:00 pm, which is 6 hours of Express Pass usage time for Hagrid, VelociCoaster, Spider-Man, and more! At the time of writing, there hasn’t been a consistent schedule of offering this deal. If you are interested in an after 4:00 pm Express Pass at a Universal park, ask about availability at an Express Pass sales location.
