The picture above was taken from the Fantasyland bridge to Liberty Square. Nearly all of the water is gone – we’ve had rain- and the moat has been cleaned.

A closer look at the new paint and the primer on the old pink color.

There are small changes nearly every single day. We’ve had a few rainy days, but it’s obvious they’re trying to get this done rapidly.

The purple rocks on either side of the Tomorrowland bridge also appear to have primer in some places. Now that the moat is totally drained, we’ll continue to monitor this area for changes.
Cinderella Castle is just one ongoing project in the Magic Kingdom!

Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland remains closed for refurbishment. Disney’s website still says Big Thunder will reopen with new magic this spring.

Buzz Lightyear, which has been closed since August 2025, is still scheduled to reopen this spring, too. Buzz is expected to have new ride vehicles, a new show scene, and enhancements to the gameplay. We can’t wait to have two favorite rides reopen again just in time for Cool Kid Summer.
