2. Qualification Change – Please note above that DoD civilians are no longer included. This is a change from the past when DOD civilians qualified. Sadly, they do not anymore.
3. Spouses Qualify – Active duty and retired spouses do qualify! If a service member cannot sail, a valid spouse ID will work. Dependent children do not qualify on their own.
4. Proof – Speaking of ID Cards, you don’t need to send anything when you book this rate, you’ll show a valid ID card at the port. In reality, many cast members forget to ask for it, but if you don’t have a valid ID card, don’t risk it. If they ask, and you don’t have it, they will revert your charge to the current rack rate.
5. What are They? – So what are they qualifying for exactly? It’s a deeply discounted military rate on existing sailings. It’s not a set percentage off, it’s not something that applies to every stateroom and every sailing. It’s a list of particular sailings and categories with a discount. The discounts are usually released around 60 days before a sailing, but there are definitely exceptions to that.

6. 250th Bonus – New for 2026, and only 2026 as far as we know, Disney is offering a $250 bonus onboard credit on select sailing of the Wish and Dream to celebrate America’s 250th! It’s valid on existing and new bookings, and categories 4A-11C. And even better news? It can be combined with the above rates! If you are booked on a military rate on one of these qualifying Wish and Dream dates, you can get both.
7. One Stateroom – Each qualifying member is eligible for one stateroom. If the spouse and member are both sailing, it’s still just one stateroom. The only exception is if the service member needs more than one stateroom to accommodate their immediate family.
8. New Bookings Only – The military discount is for new bookings only. And this relates to our exception to Disney’s usually generous treatment toward military personnel that we mentioned above. Unfortunately, a military rate cannot be applied to an existing booking, which means the existing booking must be canceled and rebooked if you are trying to take advantage of a new military discount rate, and if the existing reservation is in its penalty period, all penalties will apply. I understand that policy and have no problem with it in theory. My problem with this policy is that Disney has the exact opposite rebooking policy for resident discounts (like Florida resident discounts) that they offer on many cruises (you can retroactively apply the resident discount to an existing booking without paying any penalties). Nonetheless, often the savings are so good applying the military discount to an existing booking that it’s worth it to pay the penalties and rebook. Why, when Disney is typically so generous with military discounts, wouldn’t they apply this same rebooking policy to their military discounts? I don’t understand that. But I digress! Still very appreciative for the discounts Disney generously offers to military personnel in general!

9. How To Find the Rates – So how do you find these rates? They’re on DisneyCruise.com and Scott Sanders puts an updated list out every Monday on the DisneyCruiseLineBlog.com. On DisneyCruise.com go to “Plan a Cruise” and the “Find a Cruise.” Underneath the search boxes, you’ll see “Show Special Offer Filters.” Click on “Special U.S. Military Rates” and you can see what’s out there.
10. Unlimited – Unlike the military ticket discounts for Disney World and Disneyland which have limits each year, this offer is unlimited. Go as many times as you want! I’m sure Disney would say the more the better.
