170-Foot Spike Element is Completed on Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Orlando. The final piece of the element has been lifted into place this morning, marking a major milestone in the construction of the new-for-2027 roller coaster at the Universal Orlando park.

The construction on Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios Florida continues to make rapid progress, with several major additions bringing the overall layout into much clearer focus. Behind the Universal Plaza stage, crews have installed a new series of supports while additional track continues to fill in the coaster’s course, making the attraction’s path easier to follow with each passing week.

Manufactured by Intamin, Hollywood Drift will feature the company’s innovative drifting ride vehicles, creating a unique ride experience unlike any other roller coaster at Universal Orlando. The attraction follows an out-and-back layout, stretching from the back of Universal Studios Florida toward CityWalk where much of the coaster’s layout is concentrated, before returning to the station.
