Canada’s Playland Amusement Park has signed a offer with Zamperla to put in the Italian manufacturer’s latest Lightning LSM Coaster.

An up to date version of Zamperla’s Thunderbolt, the Lightning Coaster will function a linear synchronous motor launch to 72 km/h (45 mph) in this set up, creating it the swiftest launch coaster in Canada when it debuts in 2024.

The CAN$9 million task will occupy the spot of the retired Corkscrew coaster in the Vancouver theme park. The 1,247-foot coaster will arrive at a height of 59 toes and function Zamperla’s model-new Lightning coach. “The Lightning signifies the following action of roller coaster structure, and we will unveil the vehicle at IAAPA Expo in Orlando.” Adam Sandy, Zamperla’s Roller Coaster Profits and Marketing Director, explained.
