you can read our review here. The only downer in the courtyard was the fact that you had to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to buy the merch or sample the snacks from FØØD, the new truck by the Swedish Chef.
Non-riders are excluded no more!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets merch inside Rock Around the Shop.
We stopped by today and were so happy to see that everyone is allowed inside Rock Around the Shop, the merch location at the exit to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. All of the shelves and racks were well stocked with water bottles, t-shirts, bags, pins, and some of the best plush pals around.

You can enter the merch location by following the sign and Dr. Teeth’s pointing hand.

Another delightful surprise? The new coin machine with the updated Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster imprints were inside Rock Around the Shop!

If you follow us on Instagram, you may remember the temporary coin machines that were placed in the courtyard while the ride was under refurbishment. The full set is pictured below.
Under Construction coins
The new coins are $1 each or all eight for $5.00 and now everyone can access the machine. Pressed coins, especially these pressed coins, remain one of the last really great, and very affordable souvenirs on property.

And FØØD!

FØØD by Swedish Chef also opened last week, but only folks exiting Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster were able to experience the bites on offer. No more! Now, anyone is able to step up to the truck and we’ve got a few recommendations for your visit.
FØØD by Swedish Chef in Hollywood Studios
Wocka Wocking Nachos, $7.49
Fritos Corn Chips with Queso Blanco, Tomatoes, and Guacamole
10/10 This is the one food item that we will get again! The queso is mild and the guac was plentiful. It was so good that this snack bag deserves a solo photo.

Churro Drumstick, $7.99
Twisted Churro tossed in Mixed Berry Sugar, topped with Raspberry Sauce and Assorted Sprinkles and served with Chocolate Sauce
Disney churros are only good in Disneyland. This is no exception.
Mini Corn Dogs, $10.99
Served with Chips
These are the exact same mini corn dogs you’ll find at Casey’s and they all have that slimy inner goo between the breading and the dog. If you’re looking for a really nice, hand-dipped corn dog, head to Sleepy Hollow in the Magic Kingdom. Worth every cent of the $11.49 you’ll pay.
Pink Le-moi-nade, $6.49
Minute Maid Lemonade and Guava made glamorous with a sprinkle of Pink Shimmer
Maybe we’re still recovering from the glitter-fest that was the 50th anniversary, but this was one and done for us. Even the young folks in our group weren’t fans of the guava.
Pond Water Limeade, $6.79
Minute Maid Limeade, Green Apple, and Fruit Juice-filled Pearls
A winner! Sweet, tart, and the frog egg boba was cute. We’d get this again.
If you’re contemplating a visit just to ride the new version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, we’d encourage you to go for it. The ride queue alone will warm any Gen X / Elder Millennial soul. The music is amazing, the new neon is fantastic, and the party keeps going with fun food and merch once you’re parked.
