There are two admission types for Epic Universe today, Single Day Admission tickets and multi-day passes. There are no options for an annual pass that offers Epic Universe admission, but Universal offers discounted Epic Universe tickets as a benefit of being an annual passholders.

Over the past few days, Len was sent several Universal surveys recently about the Universal Orlando Annual Passholders program, including improvements to the program and questions about Epic Universe options. These surveys were marked confidential, but as Len says you can’t make things confidential while mass emailing them out. Legal teams use Len at touring plans dot com.
Universal asked several questions about Epic Universe, including presenting several Epic options. These options could be categorized into three groups:
Weekday/Weekend Only Pass
The first option is a weekday or weekend only add on for Epic Universe to a UOAP. This means guests would only have access to the park either on weekdays (Monday through Thursday per Universal) or weekends (Friday through Sunday). It is unclear if Universal would offer a choice of weekday or weekend or just one type of pass.
Epic Access Window Bundle Add-On
Another option was an “Epic Access Window Bundle Add-On”, a mouthful of a phrase, where annual passes could be upgraded to add a set amount of dates one could visit Epic Universe. For example, a 5-day option would give the passholder 5-days to within 12 months to visit Epic Universe. Several options were offered for the bundles, from 3-days to 10-days and redemption periods of 3 months to up to a year. This add-on would require guests to reserve a spot before arriving at the park.
Two, Three, and Four Year UOAP Options
The wildest option is a multiyear annual pass with Epic Universe. The pass would include Epic Universe and come at a per-year discount, but the trade off is you must have a multi-year commitment and/or deal with blackout dates. Several options were offered, including 2 year UOAPs. This would be the most expensive pass out of the options offered from a per-year and overall cost perspective.

Universal Orlando has many ideas on how they want to bring Epic Universe into the annual pass program. A short survey among staff and friends are split on our favorite: some like the preset amount of visits (preferred to out of towners) while others like the weekday/end options (locals mostly). Whatever Universal chooses we don’t expect them to offer it as long as the UOAP Get 3 Additional Months Free promotion is running, which ends the earliest with Mardi Gras in early April. If you are looking to purchase a UOAP we suggest purchasing one now, the 3 free months is a very good offer and we expect the 2 Park UOAP will remain for several more years. Stay tuned on TouringPlans for more news on Universal Orlando ticket options.
