Disney Legend (and apparently part-time Cast Member collector) Josh Gad is back at it again — this time popping up at Storybook Land Canal Boats in Disneyland.
Because, apparently, the man cannot stop working attractions into his CV.
According to a video shared online, Gad decided to fulfil yet another lifelong dream by stepping into the role of Storyteller on the classic Fantasyland boat ride. Guests boarding the attraction were greeted by Gad enthusiastically inviting them on “a little boat ride,” before responding with mock confusion when someone inevitably asked:

“Wait… is that Josh Gad?!”

Yes. Yes it was.
A Guided Tour… Gad Style

Once aboard the canal boats, Gad launches into a very Gad-like narration of the miniature scenes around the attraction.
And by “narration,” we mean pointing at things and saying things like:

“This is called a bridge.”

Groundbreaking stuff.
At one point the boat sails past the Frozen section of the attraction, a moment Gad claims he’s not familiar with. Which is, of course, very funny considering he’s the voice of Olaf and therefore partially responsible for the fact that we now can’t escape Frozen anywhere on Disney property.
He also warns the Disneyland ducks not to eat his friends because they’ve “been through enough trauma.”
Which, if you’ve queued for Frozen Ever After, might actually be accurate.
Gad’s Growing List of Disney Jobs
This isn’t even the first time Josh Gad has shown up and started operating rides.
At this point, he’s basically speed-running the Cast Member handbook.
Previously, Gad has:

Worked as a Jungle Cruise skipper (a lifelong dream, apparently)

Guided guests on Kilimanjaro Safaris

Conducted the Disneyland Railroad

Served as a caretaker at the Haunted Mansion

Honestly, we’re one video away from him running Rise of the Resistance and doing character meet-and-greets as the animatronics.
Look, we like Josh Gad.
He seems like a genuinely lovely bloke who clearly loves Disney parks as much as the rest of us.
But between Frozen, Olaf shorts, park appearances, and now randomly turning up on rides… The humour is also painfully American.
There might just be a tiny bit too much Josh Gad in the Disney ecosystem right now. What do you think?

Ryan
Ryan has been attending theme parks since as long as he can remember and his first proper memory comes from when he was just three years old sitting in Main Street USA drinking a Nesquik milkshake from a carton while the piano was being played outside Casey’s Corner.
