Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened at Magic Kingdom in June 2024 and reimagined the classic log flume ride experience with new characters, music, and storytelling. Guests board log vehicles and float through outdoor and indoor scenes set after the events of The Princess and the Frog, where Tiana is preparing a celebration and needs help finding musicians hidden throughout the bayou. The ride features dozens of detailed Audio Animatronics, colourful environments, and original music alongside familiar songs from the film. The adventure culminates in a dramatic drop of over fifty feet before leading into a finale scene filled with music, movement, and characters gathered for the bayou celebration.
This attraction replaced Splash Mountain, which previously occupied this location in Frontierland for several decades. The log flume ride system and signature drop remain, while the experience has been fully transformed with new visuals, characters, and story elements. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure also appears at Disneyland in California, where it opened later in 2024 and introduced similar scenes and ride elements adapted to that park. Together, these attractions represent a shared experience across Disney parks while maintaining location specific details.
Frontierland at Magic Kingdom is themed around the American frontier and the spirit of exploration, combining natural landscapes with storytelling inspired by rivers, railways, and frontier towns. Frontierland is also home to attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Country Bear Musical Jamboree, along with dining and scenic walkways. The land continues to evolve while retaining its adventurous identity, with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure now serving as one of its headline attractions.
Magic Kingdom opened on October 1, 1971 and is the flagship park of Walt Disney World Resort. The park is divided into six themed lands including Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland, all centered around Cinderella Castle. Walt Disney World Florida spans more than 25,000 acres near Orlando and includes four theme parks, resort hotels, water parks, and entertainment districts, welcoming millions of visitors each year to experience immersive attractions like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
