There are a total of 5 roller coasters at the new Universal Epic Universe theme park. These Roller Coasters are spread across four different lands inside the amusement park. Find out all the details below and height requirements for each ride!
1. Stardust Racers (Located in Celestial Park)
Manufacturer: Mack Rides
Located in Celestial Park, this is accessible from the large center land in the park. It includes two tracks with slightly different layouts, allowing the coaster trains to race, duel, and rotate around one another. This is the most extreme roller coaster inside Epic Universe. The rides feature one inversion each, known collectively as the “Celestial Spin,” where riders rotate around the other vehicle while traveling up one side and down the other. It is most similar in intensity to the VelociCoaster at Islands of Adventure, but a different manufacturer.
“Share a race across the cosmos on Stardust Racers, a breathtaking, dual-launch coaster reaching incredible speeds up to 62 mph. Board a comet and rocket to the furthest reaches of the stars, at heights up to 133 feet along 5,000 feet of track. Race along an inverted crisscross, known as the “Celestial Spin” in a dazzling display of blazing colors and ethereal music.”
Height Requirement: Minimum Height 48″ (122 cm)
2. Hiccup’s Wing Gliders (Located in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk)
Manufacturer: Intamin
Inside the Isle of Berk, you’ll find “Hiccup’s Wing Gliders” flying around and through the themed area. The ride is a family roller coaster featuring multiple launches and hills. It is similar in intensity to Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure, but has a different seating format. Get a bird’s eye view of the whole land on this ride!
“From Hiccup’s workshop comes his latest contraption: a winged flying machine that launches aspiring Dragon Riders into the air, swooping and soaring and encountering Hiccup and Toothless along the way. Get ready to board Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, a fun coaster that invites Vikings to prove they’re brave enough to speed through the sky with dragons.”
Height Requirement: Minimum Height 40” (102 cm) (Supervising Companion Required) Children under 48″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion. Hand-held infants are not permitted.
3. Mine-Cart Madness (Located in Super Nintendo World)
Manufacturer: JR Automation / Setpoint
Within Super Nintendo World, this Donkey Kong attraction takes you right into the game and has you jumping the tracks in Mine Cart Madness. This roller coaster is a family-style attraction that is a one-of-a-kind system that Universal invented. The result is an illusion of “jumping the rails” of the roller coaster track.“It’s up to you to help Donkey Kong protect the Golden Banana on Mine-Cart Madness. Enter the majestic Golden Temple, board your mine cart and take off in this thrilling family coaster. Speeding through the mine, you’ll appear to jump across gaps in the track and perform other eye-popping feats from the Donkey Kong Country video games.”
Height Requirement: Minimum Height 36″ (92 cm) (Supervising Companion Required) Children under 48″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion. Hand-held infants are not permitted.

4. Curse of the Werewolf (Located in Dark Universe)
Manufacturer: Mack Rides
In the forest of the Dark Universe, you will find this family, spinning roller coaster. While it is family-friendly in physical-intensity, the ride is said to be scary within its storyline. “Maleva, leader of The Guild of Mystics, welcomes you to a secluded wagon camp. Here you’re warned of the creatures who prowl the deep woods. Before long you’re riding Curse of the Werewolf – surrounded by glowing eyes and gnashing teeth, you’ll spin and weave through the forest as you attempt to escape a pack of werewolves.”
