Starting to organize your pumpkin-filled plans to attend this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash? While I usually love seeing brave Super Heroes like Spider-Man and Iron Man during the daytime in Avengers Campus, I have to admit that there is something extra special when Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party starts to creep up on the calendar and some of the most wicked Disney characters come out to play.
On select nights from August 17 through October 31, a spine-chilling squad of iconic Disney characters (and some rarely-seen favorites) will cause plenty of mischievous fun for guests of all ages across Disney California Adventure park, whether you’re dressed as a poised princess, a galactic defender, or a fearless Super Hero.

Whether you’re waiting to roll the dice on an opportunity to see Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Hollywood Land or sing a secret song with Ernesto de la Cruz from Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco near the Hyperion Theater, there are so many legendary Disney villains that you will only be able to spot at California Adventure during Oogie Boogie Bash!
Joining this dastardly lineup in 2025 are Syndrome from Pixar’s The Incredibles and Maleficent from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Sleeping Beauty, bringing chilling charm and frightening flair to this eerie event. When Ichabod Crane tiptoes through California Adventure and the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow carries a flickering jack-o-lantern in his gloved hand, there’s truly no turning back as the “Frightfully Fun Parade” surges with spirited sights.

There are a ton of highlights from start to finish, but my favorite part of the show is when select characters from Haunted Mansion begin to materialize, as swirling ballroom dancers, ominous gravediggers, and a trio of hitchhiking ghosts get ready for a swinging wake with silly spooks and ghoulish delight. Look alive and come out to socialize during this can’t-miss parade!
