Shredded Chicken and Mole in Corn Masa topped with Mole Negro, Queso Fresco, Crema Mexicana, Slivered Almonds, and Sesame Seeds
This was our most favorite of the new dishes. Christmas means tamales and this is one of the best we’ve had. The mole sauce is the star but the whole plate was delicious.
Tostada de Carne, $8.00
Braised Beef Tips slowly cooked Mexican-style atop a Fried Corn Tortilla with Black Beans, Crispy Onions, and Queso Fresco
The beef was perfectly tender and tasty. This wasn’t the case with all of the new dishes we tried, but that’s another post. The crispy onions and black beans are perfect together. We don’t always recommend tostada dishes at this festival kitchen because we struggle with the size to price value, but this is a winner. If you aren’t forced to share this plate, you’ve got a hefty snack for $8.00 or one Disney Dining Plan snack credit.

Roasted Turkey with Mushrooms, Pearl Onions, Bacon, Turkey Gravy, and Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Thanksgiving dinner but make it French! We may have consumed an enormous amount of turkey at home just hours before sampling this dish, but it’s worth the repeat. The pearl onions and roasted sweet potatoes smothered in some seriously good turkey gravy will have us ordering this again before the Festival is over.

Liquid Nitrogen Chocolate-Peppermint Mousse, $5.50
Featuring M&M’S® Holiday Mint Chocolate Candies
Mint is a palate cleanser, so you basically need this if you’re going to eat anything else at the festival. The fact that this comes with a really cool show AND is very tasty should have you lined up at Swirled Showcase if you’re headed to the Festival of the Holidays. Make sure you take a moment to watch the chef in charge of the nitrogen bath! As the mousse melts, it has that creamy but still frozen texture you get with Dippin’ Dots, just way better!
